There are many chiropractic treatment techniques used by chiropractic physicians. While the chiropractic profession is primarily the spinal adjustment, there are many other techniques exist for treating the spine, as well as other joints and tissues.


Here at Gatza Chiropractic we specialize in the following treatments:

  • Joint Manipulation (aka “the adjustment”), a treatment used to restore and improve spinal function and mechanics based on joint assessment and patient necessity.

  • Flexion-Distraction Technique, another form of joint manipulation and spinal decompression therapy that utilizes a special table to gently stretch the spine to take pressure of the joints and intervertebral discs. 

  • Active Release Technique® (ART), a movement-based, myofascial release therapy involving stretching and tractioning of the affected tissue for treating conditions involving muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.

  • Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, a soft tissue therapy used to release muscular and soft tissue adhesions and break up scar tissue.

  • Functional Rehabilitation, an assessment of a patient’s movement pattern where corrective rehabilitative exercises that is similar and tailored to a patient’s everyday life are prescribed for in office and home use to help restore proper movement patterns and injury. 

  • KinesioTape®, a specifically designed tape that stretches and contracts with movements of the body used for joint, muscle, tendon, and ligament support and to decrease inflammation. 

  • Interferential Current/Electric Stim, a therapeutic modality used to increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, muscle stimulation, promote soft tissue healing, and stimulate the body’s natural pain relievers.

  • Ultra Sound, a therapeutic modality used for a deep heating sensation not felt by the patient to enhance blood flow, tissue relaxation, and scar tissue breakdown. 

  • Massage Therapy, Licensed Massage Therapist in office specializing in Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Sports Massage. 

  • Intersegmental Traction, a special table tailored to a patient’s specific condition and spine that utilizes rollers under the table to elongate and stretch the muscles and joints in your back
